EG-1 Burrs Overview

The EG-1 was engineered from the ground up with a singular focus: the burrs. This burr-centric design philosophy allows us to deliver exceptional grind quality, consistency, and near-zero retention across all configurations.

To support a range of brewing styles and preferences, the EG-1 is available with three distinct burr sets—each offering a unique grind profile while maintaining the same uncompromising performance standards.

Core Burrs (DB-1)

The Core burrs are the standard configuration and ship with all EG-1 grinders. They deliver a balanced, versatile grind profile suitable for a wide range of brew methods, combining clarity, body, and consistency for everyday excellence.

Ultra Burrs (DB-2)

Designed specifically for pour-over enthusiasts, the Ultra burrs prioritize clarity, separation, and flavor articulation. This set represents the pinnacle of our burr development for filter coffee, optimized to highlight nuance and complexity in the cup.

Base Burrs (DB-3)

The Base burrs are the original burr set used in the first-generation MK1 EG-1 grinders. They offer a classic grind profile that reflects the foundation of the EG-1 platform and remain a proven option for those who value its distinctive performance characteristics.
