Hand Brew Cocoa Beans – Costa Rica (Upala) – 180g

Origin: Baby Sloth Fine Cacao | Light Roasted | 12 Brews

Description:
Grown in the lush tropical northern region of Costa Rica, in Upala, these cocoa beans thrive under the dual influence of the salty Pacific breeze and the humid air from Lake Cocibolca (Mar Dulce) in southern Nicaragua.

This unique terroir, paired with Catie Trinitario clones (R1–R4–R6) and experimental post-harvest methods, results in a cocoa that’s both rooted in regional tradition and enhanced by modern craftsmanship. The beans are lightly roasted and ground, offering a vibrant and complex cup.

Expect a clear honey-like sweetness, candied raspberry notes, and a zesty, refreshing finish.
