Profitec GO Overview
The Profitec GO espresso machine is a single boiler machine with high-quality features that set this machine apart as the best-in-class for its price. This compact machine has PID temperature control, a visible brew pressure gauge, and an eco brass boiler with Fast Heat Up. The controls are also very easy to navigate, making this a great machine if youโre just starting your journey into the world of specialty coffee and at-home espresso brewing.
Features and Performance
You can keep your morning going with the .4-liter eco brass boiler on the Profitec Go. Itโs ready to brew just 5-7 minutes after being switched on, so itโs ready to go when you are. The 1,200 watt heating element will also let you switch from brew to steam in one minute, and with PID temperature control, you can make sure that youโre brewing at the exact temperature you want. This allows for easy repeatability once you find your perfect brew settings so you can get the best espresso possible every day.
The thoughtful design of the GO allows it to fit into most any kitchen and add a sleek, stylish touch to your coffee setup. At just 14.9 inches tall, 8.25 inches wide, and 14.5 inches deep, youโll be able to fit this machine easily under most upper cabinets. For an elevated look, we also offer wood accents for the portafilter handle and steam knob that you can match to your cabinetry or use to add another layer of texture and warmth to your kitchen or coffee nook.
The easy to navigate buttons on the face of the machine make it simple to brew or switch to steam power for milk drinks. You can also easily change the brewing temperature with the PID controller located above the drip tray. You can also use the PID controls to toggle the ECO mode, which will automatically turn off the machine after a certain amount of time that itโs not in use, as well as the Cln mode, which will automatically remind you when itโs time to clean your machineโs grouphead. The PID display also doubles as a shot timer during brewing.
You can also easily view what pressure youโre brewing with using the pressure gauge above the drip tray. Profitec has made it easy to manually adjust the brew pressure if you prefer a different setting โ just locate the OPV under the cup tray and adjust it to your preferred brew pressure.
With the commercial style steam wand on the Profitec GO, steaming milk for your favorite milk drinks is a breeze. The no-burn rubber grip makes it easy to reposition the wand to make steaming easier and more comfortable no matter where your GO is placed. After steaming, you can easily switch back to brewing temperature, and you can even speed up the process with a cooling flush through your portafilter.
The Profitec Go's Fast Heat Up is a unique heating cycle that overheats the boiler so that it reaches brew temperatures even faster. After a cooling flush, the super-hot water brings the group head and portafilter to temperature which helps to achieve optimal temperature stability.ย
Why You Should Get It
The Profitec GO (Pro 100) is a high-quality single boiler espresso machine that has features that set it apart from others in its price range. This compact machine packs some serious punch, and you can easily brew your morning espresso and milk drinks without slowing the flow of your day.
Profitec MOVE Overview
Profitec's MOVE is a compact and versatile dual boiler espresso machine that improves dramatically on the foundation laid by the Pro 300, modernizing the machine in several key ways. The MOVE features dual PID control of both boilers, now allowing users to customize both their brew temperature as well as their desired steam pressure. Featuring the new OLED display introduced on the Profitec Drive, the MOVE offers robust programming to fully customize your brewing experience.
Features and Performance
Compared to its predecessor the MOVE is equipped with dual 0.75L stainless steel boilers for brewing and steaming. Thanks to the dual PID, each can be set within 1 degree increments to your desired temperature and the steam boiler can also be toggled off completely to conserve energy. In addition to the PID, a dual pressure gauge now actively reports pressure within the steam boiler.
The new boiler and PID are far from the only change the MOVE have received. Despite its size, the OLED controller is packed with functionality including an automated backflush program, numerous maintenance reminders, programmable pre-infusion and an auto on/off timer to name a few. Single and double brew cycles are also programmable now, with each of the brew buttons able to store a unique brew profile.
Customization extends beyond simply the digital. The MOVE comes stock with American walnut accenting, but features Profitec's Twist-and-Change portafilter design, allowing the included handle to be swapped out with a variety of handles in various materials and colors. The portafilter itself features a unique modular bottomless design with an included silicone spout assembly that can be inserted or removed to your liking and fits the single, double, and triple shot baskets included with the machine.
Theย Fast Heat Up is a unique heating cycle that overheats the boiler so that it reaches brew temperatures even faster. With this system the MOVE's boilers can be fully heated in just 9 minutes. After a cooling flush, the super-hot water brings the group head and portafilter to temperature which helps to achieve optimal temperature stability. If desired, fast heat-up can be toggled off in the PID menu.
Why You Should Get It
The MOVE is a refreshing alternative to the hegemony of E61 group espresso machines. With its incredibly fast heat-up time of just 9 minutes and stable and precise temperatures, this is a machine that excels in all scenarios. For us, the MOVE seals the deal with its modular portafilter that permits at-home customization and doubles as both a spouted and bottomless option.
Profitec Drive Overview
The Profitec Drive is a reimagined version of the renowned German-made Pro 700, Profitecโs flagship dual boiler espresso machine. Equipped with an E61 flow control device and enhanced by a new PID controller, the Drive provides precise control over brewing variables while simplifying upkeep with built-in maintenance reminders. Profitec has also streamlined the machineโs design, incorporating sleek new elements that reflect the aesthetic of their other models.
Features and Benefits
The Profitec Drive guarantees power and precision with its dual boilers and dual PID control. Users can independently adjust the temperatures of the 0.75L brew boiler and the 2.0L steam boiler, ensuring excellent thermal stability and steam power. At a maximum steam temperature of 132ยฐC (270ยฐF), the Drive generates an impressive 2 bar of steam pressure. For brewing, it features a whisper-quiet rotary pump and includes Profitecโs E61 flow control device, allowing for variable flow rates from 2.5 to 28.5g/sec for precise espresso extraction.
The updated PID controller offers a host of advanced features to enhance brewing and convenience. In addition to controlling brew and steam temperatures, it allows users to turn off the steam boiler when not needed, saving energy. The programmable pre-infusion feature enables precise control, allowing for a pump run time between 1-10 seconds, followed by a pause of 1-60 seconds before brewing begins. For added convenience, the PID includes maintenance reminders for backflushing and water filter changes, an eco mode, and two programmable wake-up times for each day of the week. Thanks to its rotary pump, the Drive can be connected directly to a water line or run from its 2.8L water reservoir.
The Driveโs Fast Heat Up feature offers a unique heating cycle that overheats the boiler, allowing it to reach brewing temperatures more quickly. After a cooling flush, the super-hot water brings the group head and portafilter to the ideal brewing temperature, helping to ensure optimal thermal stability.
Externally, the Profitec Drive showcases signature design elements from the Profitec collection. Quick steam valves and Twist and Change portafilter handles allow for easy customization with various accents and materials. The iconic โPโ cutout on the drip tray, along with black brew and steam pressure gauges, maintain the machine's elegant aesthetic. Inspired by the Pro 400, the Drive features a black frame beneath the drip tray and a cutout "Profitec" logo on the back panel.
Why You Should Get It
The Profitec Drive is a top-tier choice for anyone seeking a high-performance dual boiler espresso machine. Its powerful steam and precise brewing capabilities make it an exceptional machine for espresso enthusiasts. The addition of programmable pre-infusion and flow control opens up new possibilities for crafting the perfect espresso shot. With the updated PID controller keeping maintenance in check and the machine ready to go each morning, the Profitec Drive could be the ultimate upgrade for serious home baristas.
Profitec JUMP Overview
The Profitec JUMP is a leap forward in the realm of compact heat exchanger espresso machines. At just 9 inches wide it spares you from having to negotiate a space for it on your countertop. Under the hood however, the JUMP's got big game with a 1.6L stainless steel heat exchange boiler and a convenient multi-position PID switch to rapidly shift between temperatures. With the inclusion of an OLED display for simple programming and shot timing, this machine dares you to underestimate it.
Features and Performance
Thanks to its 1.6L heat exchanger boiler, the JUMP is prepared to brew and steam at a moment's notice.ย It features the same PID switch found on the Pro 400, meaning that you can easily choose from three different temperature presets, 248ยฐF (120ยฐC), 255.2ยฐF (124ยฐC), and 262.4ยฐF (128ยฐC). Additionally, you can use the switch to trigger the pre-infusion process and to toggle the ECO mode, with your selections confirmed for you on the new OLED display. ECO mode is enabled by default, but you can choose to deactivate it (and reactivate it) as you like.
In most cases we suggest keeping the PID switch in the middle position when brewing espresso and in the far position for an extra boost when steaming milk. The inclusion of spring-loaded joysticks on the JUMP allow you to either throttle steam to your desired pressure or lock-in and go full blast. The steam and hot water knobs along with the brew lever and portafilter handles are all removable by hand for a level of at-home customization not found on most espresso machines.
The JUMP inherits the Pro 400's slim build at just 9 inches wide, 17.6 inches deep, and 14.6 inches tall. The cup tray on top is easily removable to allow you to refill the 2.8-liter water reservoir located at the back of the machine, and the JUMPโs automatic shut-off feature cut power to the boiler when the water level in the reservoir is too low. The programmable ECO mode can also power down the machine to save energy after a set period of inactivity.
Why You Should Get It
If youโre looking for a compact heat exchanger espresso machine that can easily switch from brewing to steaming and back again to keep your mornings running smoothly, the Pro 400 is perfect for you. With multiple temperature presets, optional pre-infusion, and temperature stability from the E61 brew group and stainless steel boiler, the Pro 400 is a beautiful machine thatโs built to brew great espresso and stand the test of time.
