Pirates Of Coffee - (Crown of Rwanda)

This beautiful gem from Gasharu Coffee, Rwanda is fruit-forward and sweet. The cup feels mellow and well-rounded. The juicy sweetness is evident from start to finish and the delicate floral aroma makes the entire experience very enjoyable. 

Last year's Crown of Rwanda was much loved by the Crew so this year we had to bring back this beautiful crop.

This Coffee is named "Women's Crown Rugori" by the producer Gasharu Coffee because of the Rwandan tradition of Crowning women with a Rugori which is a symbol of motherhood - mothers receive it after they give birth to their first child. 

More than 70% of Gasharu Coffee employees are women and they want to increase awareness about women's contributions to Coffee Production in Rwanda.  Gasharu Coffee has created a Transparent network where radical improvements are being made to women's empowerment in Rwanda. 

About Gasharu Coffee

Celestin Rumenerangabo started Gasharu Coffee in 1976. He started young as a farmer and a buyer of cherries. Gasharu Coffee steadily turned into a family business over the years. With the help of his mother and wife Celestin started running the business with enhanced efficiency. Gasharu coffee started supporting schooling for children from coffee farming families.
